Tribeca architectural shower screen systems

Tribeca is a suite of architectural shower screens created for bathrooms where scale, strength, and design integrity matter. We engineered Tribeca for heavier features and bolder visual style. It’s perfect for interior designs that call for greater scale, luxury, and visual weight.

With sliding, pivot, and fixed panel formats, Tribeca gives interior architects a system equal to the most considered design brief. The sliding door formats can include a soft close feature to create an even more luxurious experience. Tribeca is a shower screen system engineered for generous proportions, thicker glass, and the kind of presence that defines a space.

Specify Tribeca to turn a bathroom into a sanctuary:

Tribeca Suite

A SHOWER SCREEN FRAME THAT ELEVATES THE WHOLE ROOM.

Tribeca turns a practical space into a true statement of style. It is an architectural element, not just a bathroom fixture.

The frame, bar configurations, and finishes allow designers to define spatial zones without cutting them off from the rest of the room. Every line is intentional. Every junction resolved.

Architects and designers can choose:

  • sliding or pivoting doors
  • fixed panels and returns
  • glazed highlight panels

Bar layouts introduce horizontal or vertical lines to suit the project’s architectural intent. Handles and finishes can be customised, allowing each Tribeca system to feel completely original and project-specific.

Tribeca Features

  • 2700h x 1000w* door capability (durability tested to 10,000 cycles)
  • Robust 25mm feature bar option fixed to both internal and external glass face
  • Soft close mechanism comes standard with the Inline (Tee) slider and Offset Slider formats
  • Squared-off glazing rubber providing a neatly finished product, pivoting away from traditional sloped glazing finish

FAQ

What is the turnaround time for production of the Tribeca Shower?

  • Production for small batches is generally within a few weeks from order to installation depending on the colour selections.
  • Production for projects is managed in line with the installation schedule required for the job.  Historically projects run over several months with a lead in time of 4-6 weeks for starting material in most finishes.

What makes Tribeca so good?

The Tribeca suite benefits from the experience and passion of the Pivotech Design Team and shower screen experts. We’ve been leading the industry since 1989.

Is the Tribeca manufactured locally?

Yes.  Production of the Tribeca Shower is done locally by qualified partners who are specifically experienced in high quality shower screen manufacture and installation.

What is the warranty?

Standard commercial warranty of 12 months applies to all products supplied by Aluminium Industries.  Powder coat finishes have a minimum 7-year warranty period.

Does Pivotech assist with 3D renders of product (such as Revit and CAD)?

For multi projects, Pivotech can provide 3d CAD models and 2d shop drawings for our products for project specification upon request. 3d CAD models can be provided in non-native file formats which can be imported into Revit and BIM systems (e.g. IFC, STL and OBJ formats). Pivotech does not produce 3D renders.

Is aluminium the best option for shower screens?

Aluminium is a robust and corrosion resistant material providing durability in wet environments. Aluminium shower screen frames are produced through a process known as extruding which allows intricate shapes to be produced. Aluminium can be finished by several methods including, but not limited to, anodising, abrasive texturing, and powder-coating, which all produce durable finishes and a diversity of aesthetics.

Manufacturing processes used in shower screens are efficient, with low scrap rates and established recyclability processes for offcuts. The superior mechanical properties of aluminium mean relatively small amount of aluminium (by weight) provide substantial gains to shower screen performance, improving robustness and hence safety, and enabling designs which better manages water egress compared with frameless shower screens.

Where is the Tribeca Shower powder coated?

Powder coat finishing for the Tribeca suite is done in our on-site powder coat facility in Dandenong South, Victoria.  This ensures our control over quality finish.

Which powder coat finishes can my client choose from?

We utilise both Dulux and Interpon powders for our finishes.  For custom finishes, your clients can choose from either of these online ranges through the below links.

Why can’t I choose an anodised finish?

The Tribeca Shower Screen is a proud Australian product, and the colour range has been selected to complement trending tapware finishes and bathroom designs. If your client would like to utilise Modern Anodise Finishes the finish process would need to be performed offshore which requires a minimum order requirement for each profile.

The viability of this would only be relevant to large scale projects and the control of quality is moved from inhouse to a third party. If you have a project where an Anodise finish is the preferred finish, please speak with our Specification Manager to understand your requirements properly and how we can get your client a great outcome.

I would like the showers to go to the ceiling, is that possible?

Yes! The Tribeca Shower looks great when you reach for full ceiling height. Depending on the height of your ceiling, there may be a need for a highlight over the door.

What is the maximum door width I can specify?

  • 1000mm for doors up to 2200mm high
  • 800mm for doors up to 2400mm high

Are there size limitations for the Tribeca Shower?

  • Overall heights of 3000mm high can be achieved when using a highlight over the door.
  • Widths over 1200mm utilise a Heavy-Duty head section and can span up to 3000mm – depending on the configuration.
  • The Australian Glass Standard AS1288-2021 Glass in Buildings should be referenced for glass m2 capabilities in your particular configuration.

I’d like to have different glass types in the one panel, is that possible?

For stand-alone fixed panels, separating the screen into individually glazed panels is possible, yes.

What testing does Pivotech undertake when developing shower screen products?

  • 10,000 cycle durability
  • Opening and closing force
  • Abuse (door slam etc)

What is Pivotech’s commitment to Australian manufacture and supply?

As an Australian Owned Private Company, Aluminium Industries has been committed to keeping as much of the business as possible within Australia since 1996. Employing within Australia is the foundation of our success and remains wrapped in our long term vision.

Why is the Tribeca Shower considered a more premium shower than a Frameless Shower Screen?

  • Frameless Shower Screens have steadily moved from a premium product of quality to a generic cost-focus product supplied out of China by multiple manufacturers seeking volume.  The focus on quality has slowly eroded with market demands of low-cost solutions meaning frameless showers just aren’t what they used to be.

  • In addition to the declining hardware quality, some inherent characteristics of frameless designs impact the end user experience.  When a shower is frameless, a gap between the glass panels is required to avoid glass to glass contact preventing breakage and enabling a ‘clean’ open.  These unavoidable gaps provide an outlet for water to egress into the bathroom area.  Depending on the location of the shower head and door, this could be a few drops each shower or it could mean a pool of water every shower taken.

  • The natural characteristic of glass is to ‘bend’ when it goes through the toughening process which makes it safety glass.  When contained in a frame of integrity, the frame will support the glass into a flat position.  Without the use of a frame, the alignment of glass cannot be controlled beyond the hinge points which then limits the achievable heights in real application.

  • The Tribeca offers the unique capability of attaining height and width previously not possible in a shower screen.

  • The framed aesthetic enables a design choice which is beautiful to look at and very functional in design.

  • The seals and componentry designed into the framing of the Tribeca Shower address water egress and provide a better contained wet environment inside the shower screen alcove.
